Spiritual abuse includes degrading the woman’s spiritual beliefs, withholding the means to practice, and/or forcing adherence to a particular belief system.

Examples Include:

- forcing you to go to Church
- forcing religious ceremonies
- denying you your right to participate in spiritual practices
- forcing you to read the bible or other religious books
- forcing you to change your traditions due to his spiritual beliefs
